Florian 'Floyd' Mueller
My name is Florian Müller, but my passports (Germany and Australia) also spell my last name Mueller, and my nickname is Floyd. I admit that this can be confusing, but Floyd Mueller works best.
My research is at
I am an active and keen participant in sport, playing basketball, tennis, table-tennis, squash and running (marathon time 3:28). I have also cycled from Adelaide to Melbourne, Australia (about 1000 km) to promote cycling, environmental understanding and air pollution awareness.
I have also been a holiday camp supervisor in Italy twice. Organized by a community non-profit organization, the camp aimed to help underprivileged teenagers. I also lead a team that produced a book for the organization that is used by summer camps across Europe.
I also initiated a highly successful exchange program between Griffith University, Australia, and University Furtwangen, Germany. Since the beginning of the program, more students in the degree program received scholarships to study abroad than ever before. I have also organized a University function there for 1500 people to raise money for additional computer equipment for the course program.
A long time ago Axel Rockmann and I developed and ran Germany's first college radio over the Internet: "Radio Diarö". We did the advertising, broadcasting and DJ-ing all by ourselves. There was no money involved during the whole project.
I would like to ackowledge the work of everyone who has supported this site, the work presented here and helped along the way in one way or another, thank you.
